We are looking for a bilingual (Eng/Sp) HR Generalist to work 2nd shift in our growing HomeGoods distribution center!

 

In this role you will provide generalist support to the facility in all areas of Human Resources: recruit; source and select internal and external candidates; assist with the Associate Relations function; administer company policies, procedures, and benefits; advises all levels of associates on programs by providing counseling and one-on-one assistance; provide training support to all levels of associates; and proactively develop relationships within the community to identify diverse talent availability during times of high staffing demands.    

 

Responsibilities

  • Source, interview, and select external candidates and, where appropriate, internal candidates for hourly and Supervisory roles. Proactively develop and implement alternative staffing sources and represents the company at job fairs. Participates in community events.
  • Support Associate Relations by administering and advising all levels of associates on company policies, procedures, and benefit programs.  Provide counseling and recommend resolution to Associate/Supervisory issues.  
  • Assist with training of Supervisors and Associates on the floor.
  • Ensure follow-up on operational issues such as work methods, productivity, and new hire orientations.  
  • Conducts new hire orientations as needed.  
  • Participates in special projects as assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-6 years of general HR experience is required
  • Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Must be willing to work a 2nd shift (roughly 1pm-10pm) and a few hours on occasional weekends so you can meet with team members on other shifts.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience is required
  • Experience dealing with a broad scope of HR activities and regulations, including labor laws, recruiting, payroll, benefits, and training.
  • Strategic thinker – process improvements and techniques, work smart methods, operational efficiencies
  • Strong coaching and counseling skills
  • Efficient communications skills
