The Assistant Vice President, Strategic Fulfillment Operations will provide leadership for Digital fulfillment operations by assisting VP of Fulfillment Operations with all aspects of business processes and strategy. This Fulfillment Leadership role will be the fulfillment/ ecommerce expert for the network and lead the project management function within Fulfillment. This position’s primary focus is to develop and improve operational efficiency to support the scale efforts of the Digital businesses.

 

 

Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Will be subject matter expert in e-commerce operations including technology, process, capacity planning, quality control and process improvement.
  • Develop, implement and revisit quality control standards, policies, processes and procedures to drive growth of multi-site, multi banner organization.
  • Will ensure cross-functional collaboration and communication through responsibility of project management function.
  • Identify and mitigate operational constraints and manage all operations to ensure that customer SLA’s are met.
  • Will be heavily involved in the creation of TJX Digital fulfillment/network strategy inclusive of supply chain analysis, capacity constraints, and multi-channel capabilities
  • Work with IT, Engineering, Data and 3rd party partners
  • Will help analyze WMS to optimize and perfect order fulfillment and provide operational insights to improve WMS effectiveness.
  • Will help lead development of all critical KPI’s for fulfillment network.
  • Develop, lead and direct change.
 

 

Talent Development:

  • Coaches direct and/or indirect reports on performance and professional development issues. Motivates team to achieve efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide leadership to team, elevating the work and providing training, knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Defines project deliverables, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Participates in performance appraisals, interviews and discipline/documentation as needed.
  • Special projects as assigned.

 

Job Knowledge
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Math, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or equivalent job experience. Black or Green Belt certification required. PMP, PgMP or Prince2 certification preferred:
  • Subject matter expert in fulfillment operations and strategic operations
  • Ability to influence change
  • Ability to lead on projects with creative and strategic pay out
  • Excellent supply chain, logistics, forecasting skills
  • Ability to perform complex business analysis and communicate recommendations
  • Highly strategic, forward thinking, risk taker, and result oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and ability to present summary information to Management
  • Facilitation, team building and change management skills
  • Demonstrated management and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable results
  • Working knowledge of Manhattan WMS is a plus

Minimum experience required to perform this job:
  • 10+ years in operations, supply chain, management consulting and/or strategy
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business or analytical discipline
  • Extensive experience with project leadership and fulfillment operations
  • Demonstrated leadership in operations or process improvement disciplines
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills and an ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop business cases, and complete root cause analyses
