What you’ll do

The Digital Solution Delivery organization at TJX focuses on the customer-driven experiences across the globe, including all of our eCommerce domains, mobile apps, loyalty programs, in-store digital experiences, and more. We are builders and innovators extending TJX's renowned treasure hunt experience to new audiences and fans.


This Product Manager position is on the Digital Core Application team and will support multiple SAFe agile teams through the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) to deliver features and enhancements to our core applications such as: Enterprise Order Management (EOM), Netsuite (ERP), Merchandise Financial Planning, Markdown Planning, and Payment Gateway.


This person will own the collective prioritization of the approved backlog (epics, features, enhancements, tech debt) for the core application teams, working collectively with the business stakeholders, Solution Delivery Manager (SDM), Epic Owner, and Product Owners. In this position, the Product Manager will be the single point of contact for stakeholders for in-flight work and will partner with the SDM to spearhead and provide visibility over the entire approved backlog for the team. 


This person will be at the ground level for changes that have a direct impact on our customers and our business units. Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Managing approved epic timelines, ensuring close collaboration with other teams like Architecture, Security, Warehouse Management, front-end Webstore teams, third party vendors, as well as our Digital business partners who set the vision and direction for our digital properties.
  • Managing Business Partner Communications including setting and proactively managing expectations, prioritizing the scrum teams’ backlogs, working with the team to prepare and present the sprint review & demos, leading PI pre-planning, actively participate in all scrum ceremonies, and prepare business-facing communications.


This person will enable optimal team performance by ensuring that the team continuously has a prioritized backlog, providing transparency of the teams’ work to the stakeholders, and by providing clear and concise communications to ensure close coordination between teams.


This role has wide-ranging partnerships, working day-to-day with scrum masters, product owners, epic owners, solution delivery managers, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors.


What you’ll need

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-8 years as a Product Owner/Project Manager within dedicated agile teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, tailoring to audiences
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to proactively manage stakeholder expectations
  • Proven success as a self-starter demonstrated in a highly collaborative, matrix environment
  • Strong working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban
  • Relevant undergraduate BA, BS degree in IT or Business or equivalent experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence


Preferred Qualifications

  • Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred
  • ERP, eCommerce, Retail, or Supply Chain business process knowledge/experience
