What you’ll do

The Digital Solution Delivery organization at TJX focuses on the customer-driven experiences across the globe, including all of our eCommerce domains, mobile apps, loyalty programs, in-store digital experiences, and more. We are builders and innovators extending TJX's renowned treasure hunt experience to new audiences and fans.

 

This Product Owner position is on the Digital Core Application team. This Product Owner will support a SAFe agile team through the entire software development life cycle (SDLC) to deliver features and enhancements to our core applications such as: Enterprise Order Management (EOM), Netsuite (ERP), Merchandise Financial Planning, Markdown Planning, and Payment Gateway. This person will be at the ground level for changes that have a direct impact on our customers and our business units. Responsibilities of this role include prioritizing the scrum team’s backlog, managing stakeholder expectations, working with the team to prepare and present the sprint review & demo, prepare user stories, document “as-is” and “will-be” state, leading sprint planning, actively participate in all scrum ceremonies, prepare for production releases, and work across teams as needed.

 

This person will enable optimal team performance by ensuring that the team continuously has a backlog of well-defined and estimated user stories. The Product Owner leads sprint planning to ensure the team commitments are achievable, the business requirements are met, and the team is performing optimally.

 

This role has wide-ranging partnerships, working day-to-day with scrum masters, product managers, epic owners, and solution delivery managers. There will also be close collaboration with other teams, like Architecture, Security, Warehouse Management, front-end Webstore teams, as well as our Digital business partners who set the vision and direction for our digital properties.

 

What you’ll need

We are looking for teammates who share our passion for building excellent customer experiences using agile methodologies.  We need more smart, agile, critical thinkers who love delivering things that will delight our customers.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5-8 years as a Product Owner within dedicated agile teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, tailoring to audiences
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to proactively manage stakeholder expectations
  • Proven success as a self-starter demonstrated in a highly collaborative, matrix environment
  • Strong working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks such as SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban
  • Relevant undergraduate BA, BS degree in IT or Business or equivalent experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira and Confluence

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred
  • ERP, eCommerce, Retail, or Supply Chain business process knowledge/experience
