Marketing Manager – Sierra

 

Position Overview:

 

The Marketing Manager - Sierra is responsible for the strategic planning and execution of marketing programs to support the brand marketing goals of building brand, increasing visitation to stores, and driving site sales. The manager will lead the execution of the multi-channel brand marketing strategy through new customer acquisition and retention efforts via various marketing initiatives (PR, Social, Digital Marketing and In-Store). To accomplish this, the Marketing Manager is responsible for leading an internal team and an external ad agency.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Marketing Strategy Execution

 

  • Oversee and support the day-to-day execution of the Sierra brand marketing strategy and creative content calendar to drive Sierra brand goals
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Digital Marketing, Media, and Site teams and agencies to ensure proper execution of all daily / weekly campaigns
  • Manage and execute in-store initiatives to enhance retail marketing, including regional / zonal micro programs
  • Partner closely with the Sierra Brand Creative team on the conceptualization, design, and finalization of all creative content
  • Review all creative content to ensure a consistent brand strategy and voice, ensuring alignment with Sierra brand guidelines and messaging themes
  • Plan and direct activities supporting marketing strategy and initiatives (PR, Social, Digital Marketing and In-Store)
  • Support partnership with cross-functional teams for each new store opening and related events and plans
  • Partner with the Media and Digital Marketing teams to research industry and customer to provide recommendations to marketing campaigns and creative content and copy
  • Review digital marketing campaign results and recommend adjustments 

 

Agency Collaboration & Management

 

  • Support the management of marketing third party / agency resources as needed to develop Marketing campaign concepts

 

People Management

 

  • Oversee the Marketing Specialist(s) and/or Supervisor(s) in their day-to-day activities and coach them on performance and professional development

 

 

Reuired Skills

 

  • Digital Experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills and attention to detail
  • Organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Campaign production knowledge
  • Highly motivated/ambitious and a new idea generator
  • Experience with ecommerce is preferred

 

Minimum Experience

 

  • 6-8 years of ad agency or client side Advertising/Marketing experience
  • Agency and/or retail experience is preferred
