Job summary:

We have an immediate opening for a business analyst to join our workforce management team. Using knowledge of industry best practices, business analysis and/or product owner skills you will help plan, analyze, define and prioritize leading solutions to our rapidly growing North American divisions including Marshalls, HomeGoods, TJMaxx, Winners and HomeSense.

 

 

Job description: 

With little or no guidance from a more experienced BA, works closely with Business and IT SME's in performing the following activities in support of assigned projects or initiatives:

  • Has developed a strong understanding of the business operations in a domain
  • Provides sizing/estimates of BA work during a planning phase
  • Analyzes complex cross functional business processes, and defines integrated business and solution requirements using industry standard methodologies and techniques, and is able to apply modified approaches and techniques to meet different circumstances
  • Defines the BA approach/plan
  • Ensures that the overall testing process encompasses the end to end solution
  • Partners with stakeholders to drive user adoption of the designed processes and solution
  • Communicates with business SMEs to ensure expectations are kept in line with project status.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to independently tailor them based on situations
  • Participates in the knowledge transfer to support organizations
  • Owns BA deliverables on medium to large projects.
  • Supports organizational change and training
  • Analyzes and manages scope changes
  • May have responsibility for some technical/configuration work on third party product solutions
  • Determines appropriate solution approach & related techniques
  • Effluent in stakeholder management
  • Partners with the business and IT stakeholders to understand business needs and prioritization
  • Prioritizes work assignments when leading a team and work on special projects as assigned
  • Must have mastery level business analysis skill, including advanced facilitation skills and requirements elicitation and management
  • Demonstrates an ability to handle higher levels of process and solution complexity
  • Ability to proactively identify and diagnose more complex problems & opportunities
  • Comfortable operating under a range of applicable project methodologies and frameworks, including waterfall and scrum/agile
  • Ability to coach and mentor other BA’s or Product Owners

 

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience desired.
  • 5 years of relevant experience with Business Analysis across multiple projects in at least 3 full project life cycles, including one complex project
  • Experience with Agile Frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, JIRA and Confluence
  • Knowledge of  IT technology, retail industry tools and trends highly preferred
