Logistics Process Improvement & Governance Manager

 

As the Logistics Process Improvement & Governance Manager, you will create the tools and processes to establish process standards, decision rights, performance levels required and governance to support logistics daily operations and ensure minimal operational and financial risk.

 

Ways you will make a difference:

  • Partner with different Business Leaders and Associates to determine requirements for process/procedures definition, process resources, and tools
  • Collaborate with project teams within Logistics and with business partners (internal and external)
  • Provide value stream mapping, current state evaluation and assessment, process documentation processes, and data collection to business partners for process improvements
  • Manage governance mechanisms and decision rights within the Logistics functions

 

Description:

  • Develop, document, and audit governance mechanisms and decision rights within the Logistics functions; review periodically and update as needed;
  • Develop and deploy templates and style standards to support process and procedure execution, status reporting, communication, etc. across the Logistics organization; review periodically and update as needed;
  • Work with various Business Leaders and Logistics Associates to determine requirements for process/procedures definition, process resources, and tools;
  • Manage and facilitate the preparation of documentation needed for all Critical Business Process Reviews;
  • Lead or participate in training/implementation of new or revised policies and procedures to affected work group(s);
  • Conduct annual and targeted risk assessment and compliance to standards;
  • Define cadence for communicating with stakeholders internal and external to Logistics; assist with communication development;
  • Manage and maintain knowledge management resources, including SharePoint sites
  • Develop, maintain and publish the Logistics Operating Calendar;
  • Identify, report and escalate compliance and operational risks, issues and control enhancements;
  • Maintain required SOX compliance programs, schedule and RACI to ensure adherence and timely submission;
  • Map value stream, evaluate and assesses current state, document processes, collect data, and interface with business partners to identify process improvements.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2-5 years of operational experience preferred
  • Preferred certification in Project Management as well as training/certification in improvement methods (e.g. Lean Six Sigma)
  • Demonstrated success in operational improvement and change management
  • Must be able to work with team members and work with minimal supervision
