As we continue to grow, external and internal factors have increased our need to be more diligent than ever in monitoring compliance, enforcing privacy and data protection requirements and mitigating our risk. In order to ensure we continue to meet external requirements and proactively address potential issues we are expanding our Corporate Risk and Compliance team. 


The Senior Manager, Data and Systems is responsible for managing the data and systems associated with product, consumer, privacy, information management, and other regulatory-compliance requirements and enterprise risk-management efforts. This newly created role will partner with Risk Management, Legal, Information Technology, third-party providers, and myriad TJX businesses globally to understand data and systems needs for risk and compliance purposes.  They will be the primary resource and go to for all things data, systems and technology related for the Risk and Compliance organization.


  • Manages, organizes, maintains, and oversees efforts to improve relevant data and systems while ensuring the appropriate quality, integrity, availability, and dissemination of that data. 
  • Understands the data needs for compliance and risk-management efforts globally.
  • Represents the Risk Management group in working with IT and third-party providers on projects to collect, manage or improve management of compliance and risk-management data.
  • Works with multiple TJX business functions that have a role in collecting or using compliance and risk-management data to ensure efficient and well-maintained processes and technologies are employed
  • Respects the current state collection, upkeep, and dissemination of compliance and risk-management data while envisioning a scalable future state and bringing vision to fruition.
  • Ensures the integrity and timely flow of information in and out of TJX regarding compliance and risk-management data.
  • Produces dashboards or regular automated reports and guides relevant stakeholders in reviewing dashboards and reports of key compliance and risk-management data.
  • Stays abreast of developments in technology and data-management to ensure company strategies align with and take advantage of industry best practices.


  • Must be highly proficient in data-management, workflow, business intelligence and data-presentation tools to support data trending and analysis with storytelling
  • Understands and evaluates various types of technologies to determine if they are fit for purpose
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, ability to communicate complex business information in a clear and compelling way
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence and build effective working relationships with internal partners in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to independently identify bottlenecks or other inefficiencies in the design of a system
  • Comfortable collaborating and partnering with all levels across multiple  business functions including but not limited to Risk Management, Merchandising, Legal, IT, as well as 3rd party vendor resources
  • Proven advanced level Excel, Visual Basic, Visio, Tableau and SharePoint experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office365 e-Discovery and Compliance suite preferred
  • 8 -10 years of comparable data-management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Data Management or similar technical certifications a plus
