Our Vision for this Role

As the Senior Manager Global Continuous Improvement, Black Belt you’ll lead, manage, and direct complex projects using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and other process improvement methodologies. Mentor less experienced associates in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and develop associates for future growth within the organization. Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for process improvement initiatives and support the continuous improvement program.


The Skills that will Make You Successful

  • 8+ years of experience in Process Improvement, Quality, Operations, or a technical discipline
  • Black Belt certification required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Operations Management, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Math, Statistics or another technical major preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency of Lean and DMAIC tools
  • Leadership skills and business acumen

The Responsibilities You’ll Have


Project Management

  • Leads, manages and directs complex projects using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and other process improvement methodologies.
  • Guides the project team through all phases of the DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) roadmap.
  • Provides recommendations on the use of Lean and DMAIC tools.
  • Identifies and defines project metrics.
  • Identifies the "Voice of the Customer" through data collection, surveys, and interviews.
  • Oversees the collection and analysis of data.
  • Scopes and assists in project definition for LSS projects.
  • Performs measurement systems and capability analysis.
  • Reviews statistical tests for accuracy.
  • Leads the project team in the generation and evaluation of solutions.
  • Develops pilot plans as needed.
  • Develops control plans to ensure project gains are continuous and sustainable.
  • Delivers measurable and validated results


Program Support

  • Supports and advocates for the global continuous improvement program.
  • Assists management in the definition and maintenance of an effective and efficient continuous improvement program.
  • Assists in the development and delivery of continuous improvement documentation and training.
  • Participates in the development and maintenance of the continuous improvement standards and methods utilizing industry best practices.
  • Identifies project opportunities while working within various business functions.
  • May participate on project teams outside of the functional area as a subject matter expert (SME).


Associate Development

  • Provides leadership and guidance to less experienced associates, such as Green Belts.
  • Motivates team to achieve measurable results.
  • Coaches direct and/or indirect reports on performance and professional development issues.
  • Participates in performance appraisals, interviews and discipline/documentation as needed.


      Decision Making

  • Management of project teams, timelines, and resources
  • Definition, analysis, implementation, and control of process improvement initiatives.
  • Evaluation of solutions and control plans.
  • Associate training and development needs.
