TJX Community Relations (CR) creates value for our business and communities through support of key social issues. The Community Relations function manages company philanthropic activities, including TJX foundation grants, volunteerism and charitable events.

 

We have a compelling opportunity for a Senior Community Relations Manager to lead the development and management of our domestic, field-based CR programs. The Senior Manager will drive active engagement with key TJX leaders and stakeholders to ensure mutual understanding and alignment on Program initiatives. He/she will guide assigned team to effectively and efficiently implement and execute the portfolio.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic plans for assigned programs and initiatives that deliver on community goals.
  • Oversee program execution, including communication, implementation and impact reporting.
  • In partnership with AVP CR, propose programs and specific budgets to meet community relations goals.
  • Interact with business and corporate functions on assigned programs and opportunities.
  • Attract, retain, develop and supervise talent by creating an inclusive environment that provides direction, continuous learning and commitment to a common vision and shared values. 
  • Provide candid, timely developmental feedback to all team members.
  • Develop budget and manage financial aspects related to running programs, monitor monetary disbursement related to programs.
  • Establish impact metrics for measuring effectiveness across community programs.
  • Work effectively with internal and external communication teams to support community goals and programs.
  • Manage relationships with assigned large key partnerships.

 

Your Skills & Experience

  • 10 years program management experience in Community Relations, Corporate Philanthropy and/or Foundation Management; with a minimum of 5 years in a corporate environment
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Communications or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience designing corporate community programs
  • Demonstrated skill building productive relationships, engaging, influencing and managing stakeholders at all levels within a matrix organization
  • Developed experience building and leading teams
  • Proven experience communicating with all levels of leadership; exhibits recognizable, confident executive presence
  • Strong communication skills, verbal, written and presentation
  • Ability to manage multiple programs/projects while remaining flexible to changing priorities 
  • Strong organizational and follow through skills, with focus on attention to detail
  • Understanding of legal and compliance considerations related to grant making and employee volunteerism
  • Strong analytic and measurement skills
