Meet Layla

 

Layla is an Admissibility Analyst in our Logistics Department. She is responsible for the timely, complete, and accurate submission of North American customs entries. She supports the North American Operations team by addressing vendor, merchant, and 3rd party partner inquiries. Finally, Layla also supports and provides visibility to the business with Milestone reporting.

Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Admissibility Analysts we’d ask you to do the following:

 

  • Partners with other Admissibility Analysts, as a team, and is accountable for the timely and accurate completion of customs clearance entries in ViaTrade and any non-system entries (i.e. Samples, Non-Merchandise).
  • Liaises with Carriers, Merchants, Vendors, 3rd Party Service Provider APLL and Customs Broker to address escalated/urgent document inquiries and provide complete and accurate customs clearance.
  • Provides customer service to vendors via the vendor hotline.
  • Works together with the Customs and Trade Compliance team to ensure compliance of all imported merchandise:
    • Supprts merchandise flow related to customs clearance.
    • Adheres to Customs Borders Services Agency (CBSA) regulations.
  • Prepares and performs regular updates to Admissibility Supervisor on trends, opportunities, and potential risks identified in business process.
  • Supports the complete and accurate submission of the monthly Revenue Summary Form (RSF) to the CBSA.
  • Supports the North American Operations team with regular reporting updates.

  • International/Global Trade and Transportation knowledge/experience - 5 years.
  • Designation/Certificate: Canada Society of Customs Brokers, Canadian Institute of Traffic and Transportation (CITT) an asset.
  • Designation/Certificate: Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) an asset.
  • Canada Customs, Duty and Taxes knowledge.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize numerous tasks in a day.
  • Effective and proactive communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Web Based Reporting Applications.
