What you’ll do

It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

  • This position is accountable to design, plan, implement and align change management strategies associated with organizational design and business change.  Working with executives and varying levels across the business to empower and equip leaders to implement desired changes within and across business units/functions by applying TJX change methodology and tools.
  • Support small and medium scale projects primarily focused on organizational redesign and division transformation that will vary in focus, breadth and duration.  
  • Accountable for the full life cycle of change strategies and implementation of deliverables: change vision, success measures, stakeholder management, assessments (organization, leadership, and individual readiness), plans (communication, training, engagement, culture, coaching, business impact, sustainment).
  • Build capability with Leaders, HR, and Community of practice, coaches’ others and enable leaders to manage the human side of change effectively.
  • Develops and creates tools in a change repository to increase efficiency.
  • Conduct project meetings and perform project tracking and analysis as necessary.
  • Builds relationships, partner with HR Business Partnering team, regional and global COEs, other partners (e.g. Learning and Development, IT, Six Sigma, Internal Communications) to devise solutions for supporting leaders through change and organizational decision-making.
  • Partners and develops relationships with senior leaders across the organization to solve organizational challenges and problems, providing advice on key leadership decisions relative to org design and change management.
  • Manages and bridges relationships between the business and external vendors/consultants so that vendors/consultants are seen as a seamless extension of the TJX team.
  • Provides leadership, continuous feedback, motivates newly formed project teams to accelerate project performance.
  • Leads the project team through strategy alignment between day-to-day execution and benefits realization.
  • Provides final recommendations for organization change management strategies.
  • Responsible for managing project scope of work for change management initiatives.
  • Manages project budgets of approximately $1 million.

 

 

What you’ll need

To begin your career with us, we require the following:

  • Bachelor's degree required along with a minimum of 7+ years relevant experience successfully managing organizational change, preferably in organization design.
  • Change Management Professional certification or designation a plus. (Example PROSCI certification).
  • Strong knowledge level and experience with change management and project management principles and methodologies. 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in influencing others to move toward a common vision or goal, effective communication skills (written and verbal), ability to work effectively at all levels in an organization, strong problem solving/decision-making ability; and team player with ability to work with and through others.
  • Ability to manage multiple change projects and change project leads simultaneously. 
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles and methodologies; solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process.
  • Excellent project management skills including structured project methodology (i.e. determining needs, researching existing programs, etc.); preparing and maintaining detailed development plans for projects; determining project specifications; understanding and applying principles of project control; knowledge and experience with Agile methodology a strong asset; experience with large-scale organizational change efforts.
  • Staff management skills including appropriate leading, delegating and team management.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation/presentation skills with ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams with various needs and objectives, experienced in creating organization wide communication messages and plans and participating/leading meetings/presentations.
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills to effectively resolve issues and execute strategic solutions by leveraging prior experiences to meet project/client needs, build rapport and credibility to be a trusted advisor.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to influence action, obtain and provide information effectively and tactfully from and to business partners and subject matter experts; ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships; excellent customer service skills including effectively and efficiently responding to client inquiries; identifying stated and unstated client needs.
  • Excellent data gathering skills including research and inquiry based interviewing with ability to describe problems, compile quantitative and qualitative data, interpret information and develop findings/recommendations.
  • Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize and balance competing deliverables; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Good people skills including coaching, providing advice and guidance to Associates and Leaders to resolve problems; discuss and share best practices.
  • Advanced computer skills including of MS Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
