What you’ll do
It’s safe to say, there’s no shortage of variety in what we do. Here are some key accountabilities of the role:

  • This position supports the execution of donation programs/initiatives and fundraising efforts across TJX Canada while working closely with various departments and charity partners to meet Corporate objectives.
  • Responsible for collecting, evaluating and coordinating approval for both internal and external charity requests, ensuring requests comply with Corporate Charitable support guidelines; determines type of charitable donation (cash, gift cards, merchandise samples) and coordinates funding / donation requests to approved charities
  • Accountable for coordinating charity samples and tracking merchandise distribution in partnership with samples team and charitable partners.
  • Supports execution of internal and external marketing and communication plans for CR portfolio aimed at increasing awareness among Associate and Customers including but not limited to email, web and in store.
  • On-going partnership and collaboration with Merchandise/Samples, Finance, IT, Translation, Legal, Store Operations, Internal Communications, Workplace Services etc. to support CR / Charity initiatives

What you’ll need
To begin your career with us, we require the following:

  • Minimum one (1) year related experience in marketing, administration or not for profit, community-based support programs and initiatives
  • Post-secondary certification Retail or Business Management an asset
  • Demonstrated interpersonal abilities to effectively work in a collaborative environment, where partnering with others and building strong working relationships are critical; relationships with internal and external partners
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing needs of the business, and changing priorities
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills with all levels in the organization.
  • Intermediate computer skills including MS Office applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
