Meet Sara


Sara is a Global Continuous Improvement Specialist Co-op in our Global Sourcing & Procurement Department.  She is responsible for collaborating with the Global Continuous Improvement Manager to lead, manage and direct projects using Lean Six Sigma methodology.


To us, collaboration is more than a buzzword. Just ask Sara. She loves to share ideas, values the other voices around the table, inquires to challenge thinking and explore possibilities. This is a supportive, stimulating place to work because of open-minded individuals like Sara who push our creative limits. When Sara isn’t finding new ways for us to work together better, she can be found in team huddles and scoring big with her soccer team on weekends.  She just loves the collective win!


Now, if you were to come on board as one of our Global Continuous Improvement Specialist Co-op, we’d ask you to do the following:


  • Assisting the Manager to manage and directs projects using Lean Six Sigma (LSS) and other process improvement methodologies as dictated by the project.
  • Scopes and assists in project definition for LSS projects throughout the business.
  • Guides the project team through all phases of the DMAIC (Define-Measure-Analyze-Improve-Control) roadmap and provides recommendations on the use of Lean and DMAIC tools.
  • Assists the project team in the generation and evaluation of solutions.
  • Identifies and defines project metrics and is responsible for the delivery of measurable and validated results.
  • Oversees the collection and analysis of data and identifies the "Voice of the Customer" through data collection, surveys, and interviews. Reviews statistical tests for accuracy.
  • Develops control plans to ensure project gains are continuous and sustainable.
  • May also participate on project teams as a subject matter expert (SME).

  • Understanding of conducting needs assessments and getting the Voice of the Customer
  • Understanding of Lean and DMAIC tools
  • Green and/or Yellow belt training or theoretical knowledge is an asset
  • Leadership and strong project management skills along with business acumen
  • Presentation and communication skills to all levels of associates from front line associates up to and including senior leadership team members
  • Relationship, facilitation, team building and change management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to balance competing agendas
  • Organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable results
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to analyze and interpret data sets using statistics and statistical analysis software such as Minitab
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution
