Meet Julius,


Julius is a Logistics Payable Supervisor in our Finance Department.  He is responsible for supervising and coordinating the day to day operations of the Logistics Payable Department, providing support to all Associates, supervising performance and monitoring workflow, consistency, effectiveness and efficiency of Logistics Payable department.

Now, if you were to come on board as a Logistics Payable Supervisor we’d ask you to do the following:


  • Prioritize and redirect/reallocate individual workloads within their responsibility to ensure overall department resources are fully utilized and departmental deadlines and goals are met.
  • Responsible for supervising and providing direction and support on the day to day activities of the Logistics Payable Department and escalating complex issues to the Manager.
  • Collaborates with Manager and prepares annual performance reviews for direct reports.
  • Assist in coaching and developing associates.
  • Partners with Manger to deliver performance reviews to direct reports
  • Identify opportunities for training and growth for associates.
  • Prepare monthly Inventory In-Transit Report, obtain approval and distribute on a timely manner to meet month-end timelines.
  • Provide access and security administration for all Logistics tools and service providers websites.
  • Liaise with various internal departments and external sources, ensuring resolution of Vendor-related issues.
  • Provide education, training and support of the Landed Factor System to the Merchandising community and new associates.
  • Responsible for reviewing and maintaining the accuracy of data flowing into the Landed Factor system to ensure Landed Factor information provided to merchants are accurate as this information is critical to the merchants when negotiating cost of import purchases which have direct impact to the Company’s bottom line.
  • Supervises and provide education, training and support of the Landed Factor System to the Merchandising community and new associates.
  • Provide landed factor information to merchants for newly sourced product or products originating from new country and historical data is not available in the system.
  • Understand complex business workflows that integrate with various areas and understand upstream and downstream impacts of issues.
  • Monitor invoice/system exceptions and history and ensure outstanding items are resolved on a timely manner.
  • Monitor departmental statistics to ensure they are meeting department standards.
  • Compilation of department metrics for budgeting and analysis.
  • Participate in special projects, system design and testing when applicable.
  • Ensure that Associates follow correct processing procedures and controls and adhere to Company policies and procedures.

  • Post-Secondary Education  in Business related to Accounting or Supply Chain
  • Working towards CPA designation
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in Accounting/Finance roles including analysis.
  • Strong data mining and Excellent Analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting processes, principles and controls, excellent knowledge of Logistics including knowledge of shipping procedures (i.e. international and domestic) and knowledge of Canada’s importing regulations an asset.
  • Strong Communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Intermediate problem solving skills including responding to Associates, supplier and vendor inquiries and/or complaints, and resolving problems related to vendor accounts, analysis of information (ie. Client and system requirements) and providing staff with solutions to problems.
  • Advanced computer skills including MSOffice (MS Excel), accounting software (i.e. Lawson), AP Workflow Queries, etc.
  • Excellent Supervisory and Issue Management skills (interpersonal skills including conflict management; information gathering skills; team building skills to build collaborative working relationships), customer service skills, including effectively and efficiently responding to associate inquiries
  • Understand complex business workflows that integrate with various areas and understand upstream and downstream impacts of issues Knowledge of Supply Chain processes as well as DC, Logistics, Merchandising and Financial Control.
  • Good project support skills including maintaining detailed development plans for projects and the ability to manage projects within one or more systems.
  • Intermediate Organizational and Administrative skills; compilation and distribution of information, general administrative tasks as assigned.
