Digital Midweight writer

TJX Europe. Homesense, TK Maxx.

 

The Lowdown:

 

We’re TJX Europe’s busy creative studio soon to be based in Watford, responsible for the creation of a wide range of work for TK Maxx and its sister brand, HomeSense. We get involved in anything from radio ads, digital and social campaigns, brand emails to internal communication. But we love every piece of copy that we write! Fun is at the heart of the creative here and you should enjoy writing creative copy with a wink and a smile. 

 

We are after a ‘doer’.  A mid-weight, hands-on writer who is keen to get stuck into every day production of copy from our studio. You’ll be as happy concepting and writing the big idea as you are churning through the small stuff.  

 

Whilst you will report into our head of copy, you’ll be comfortable to work independently across multiple projects and with different clients.

 

Versatility and creativity is key and any retail experience, a massive bonus. A passion for home interiors and fashion is a must. You should have the ability to write copy across different touch points and both brands.

 

The Nitty Gritty:

 

Potential writers must be able to demonstrate the following:

 

An understanding of our brands. You will help to create a consistent and compelling tone of voice for TK Maxx, HomeSense and TJX internal communication.

 

Creativity. Our creative is full of personality and flair and so are our team. We love bold, fun copy that never takes itself too seriously.

 

Versatility. Experience in writing for a variety of channels. From press ads, new store openings to charity campaigns, digital screens to social campaigns, in-store signage to changing room signs and everything in between. If you have any digital experience then we’d love to hear from you.

 

Fashion, home and retail experience. You’ll get excited about fashion and homeware and understand what it takes to get the message through in a busy retail environment.

 

Multitasking. We work in a fast-paced studio environment. You’ve got to be comfortable working on multiple projects at one time. Life here is never dull!

 

Commercial awareness. You’ll understand the business needs of a large retailer. Getting the message through to our customers… and crafting it meticulously.

 

Outstanding attention to detail. Obviously. And you’ll be able to write and proof your copy to a high standard of finish.
