This is a brilliant opportunity for a Senior HR Business Partner who has experience in managing large scale projects to join our European HR Team.  This role, which sits within our Employee Relations Team, will lead a priority project to build fundamental line manager HR capability in support of the European HR Priorities and Business Objectives.

 

In partnership with key stakeholders across the European HR team (who will be representing business stakeholder priorities), the position will identify, develop and implement a cross-functional, pan European HR Fundamentals learning strategy to deliver on the requirements of the business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain successful partnerships with the EU HR team, HR stakeholders, suppliers and key business sponsors across EU network.
  • Maintain key relationships with the HR partners to ensure collaboration in the design (ER, TA and Wellbeing) and delivery (L&D, Generalist HRBPs) of HR learning content and plans.
  • Build and maintain successful partnerships with third-party suppliers managing where necessary.
  • Manage multiple project stages/ complexities (design, planning, delivery of different modules at different stages in different markets with different suppliers and trading conditions) concurrently, with varying scale and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure that project is progressing and delivering agreed results to the agreed time, quality and budget requirements.
  • Agree / discuss project objectives, scope, deliverables, timescales and budgets and secure sign off from Sponsors and Stakeholders.
  • Manage changes in project scope or requirements, negotiating as necessary with Sponsors and Stakeholders.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks. Resolve issues, escalating as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans using appropriate tools. Identify and manage project dependencies and the critical path.
  • Liaise with PMO to assure the overall direction and integrity of the project including Project Reviews. Ensure project adheres to TJX’s methodologies and standards.
  • Provide line management, direction, support and coaching to project team members.
  • Provide timely and effective resource and project reporting in line with PMO and business stakeholder requirements.
  • Promote continuous improvement in delivering initiatives collaborating with ER team members to identify and develop supplementary information / learning mechanisms to support the build of people fundamentals capability.
  • Identify opportunities to develop frustration free Associate processes, ensuring the voice of the customer is at the heart of all we do.
  • Provide expertise in HR industry best practices, new trends and initiatives.
  • Perform other related duties and projects as directed by the AVP of Employee Relations.

 

Key Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent post-secondary degree in business, HR or related field (MBA or Masters in HRM) is preferred.
  • HR Shared Service experience, preferably in a retail or similar customer driven, fast paced environment.
  • Operational experience of HR “life-cycle” processes, within a Shared Service environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels and with the ability to simplify complex topics for broad audiences.
  • Experience in managing complex projects in international and/or matrix environments, preferably within HR.  Experience of using standard PMO tools, methodologies and processes.
  • Fluent in English, another European language would be considered an advantage
  • Experience of working with geographically-dispersed teams is desirable.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office suite of applications including advanced use of Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience creating and managing detailed project financial data and performing the analysis necessary.
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong process and analytical skills tied with sharp decision-making abilities.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on listening to the customer.
