JOB SUMMARY:

 

The Manager of Shopping Experience (Brand and comms) is a senior member of the Shopping Experience team, focused on delivering outstanding creative comms across our shopping environments.

He/she is responsible for a specific banner / area, driving integration and innovation for all customer touchpoints and ensuring a tight relationship between bricks & mortar and online environments where appropriate.

She/he leads their team to deliver on all shopping experience required messaging within their banner / area, including creative development, brand consistency and best in class execution in order to deliver a seamless customer experience.

Understanding our off-price model, being clear on the needs of our customers, remaining agile, influencing change, driving constant innovation and solution finding is at the heart of this role.

He/she will lead a team consisting of a Shopping Experience manager and will be responsible for the effective running of the shopping experience function for that banner / area within the business. They will create a positive environment for their team that efficiently prioritises effort across a busy and every changing workload.

The Manager of Shopping Experience will be required to work in close partnership with the wider business as appropriate e.g. Central Marketing and Brand Group, European Central Store Operations department, Ecommerce, Property & Store Design, Creative Services, External Store Design Agency and TJX Global brands. She/he will be expected to develop deep relationships that both facilitate and strengthen the work being produced.

Within the function there are two Managers of Shopping Experience (Brand and Comms). One focused on TK Maxx and TKMaxx.com and the other on Homesense, CR, Giftcards and Loyalty activity. They will both work alongside the Manager of Shopping Experience (Innovation and Special Projects) to support the AVP of Shopping Experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • To support the AVP in the delivery of the Shopping Experience Roadmap, ensuring their banner / area is aligned with the wider strategy being taken across the business

 

  • Lead the customer first approach to our messaging strategy, ensuring we deliver tangible benefit led comms to our customers at the right point in their journey, in store and online. Take ownership of communication strategies appropriate to the banner / area e.g. digital screens in TK, or Sustainable Finds in CR

 

  • Lead the strategic development and strategy to embrace innovation and ensure we deliver the best possible Omnichannel approach across multiple customer touchpoints, influencing partners around the business to ensure a consistent and coherent execution

 

  • Lead the strategic thinking, conceptual and creative development, departmental alignment and oversee the execution of all campaign activity (i.e. brand, xmas) and all permanent library activity across available channels instore and online

 

  • Drive the dual banner agenda, pushing customers to explore different banners in order to drive frequency, awareness and consideration.

 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with our internal creative teams and external creative partners to collectively deliver brave and inspiring creative executions in a timely and efficient manner.

 

  • Ensure alignment and integration of marketing messages across all environments, working closely with Ecommerce and European Central Store Ops to ensure activity is executed as expected.

 

  • Take an active role in cross functional initiatives, representing marketing / shopping experience as required to identify opportunity and ensure a consistent brand tone of voice and experience at all customer touchpoints.

 

  • Continually push and drive innovative ways of executing our off-price model, either through messaging activity directly or by influencing our retail partners. Continue to use and develop the thinking within the current omnichannel off-price model.

 

  • Continually find ways to leverage data and insight to create better activity, both in execution and message across our channels. Champion that data and insight to influence our retail partners as appropriate.

 

  • Ensure there is a robust process to evaluate, critique and learn from current activity. Ensure those learnings are applied to new work.

 

  • As required be prepared to take on new cross functional projects, leading their team to deliver against business expectations

 

  • Be a strong leader alongside peer Manager Ofs within the team and across the business to identify ways to improve working practises, spot development opportunities and quickly deal with any issues that arise.

 

  • Build a strong network amongst core partners within the business, notably European Central Store Ops, Store Design and Ecommerce.
