In this network implementation role, you will plan and execute projects for new network infrastructure globally.  You must follow established change request procedures which includes approvals and documentation.  You will be responsible to make sure all network assets are discovered correctly in management, monitoring, TEM, and asset tools.  You will partner with the Network Engineering group to transition the network modernization roadmap into production and then assist Network Operations group to create run books for ongoing support of the TJX network.  

Major Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Supports global network implementation projects and initiatives.
  • Provides technical input into business and IT projects and initiatives.
  • Assists with technical assessments, testing, and proof of concept to validate new designs.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with security teams to implement the network security strategy and designs.
  • Supports the execution of the network modernization roadmap.
  • Develops, publishes, and maintains implementation standards.
  • Develops and delivers technical documentation and training to support Network Operations.
  • Analyzes, recommends, develops, and implements processes and best practices.
  • Tracks and recommends on lifecycle management for network infrastructure.
  • Makes recommendations on network infrastructure for capacity.
  • Leverages essential vendors and vendor relationships.
  • Responsible for supporting asset inventory accuracy and completeness.
  • Provides technical support including off-shift implementation and operational support.


  • Experience with network technologies (e.g. routing and switching, routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), LAN, WAN (MPLS, DIA, broadband), WLAN, firewalls, load balancers, web proxies, DNS, DHCP, network access control, cloud services and architectures, capacity planning, network management tools and other relevant technologies, packet analysis).
  • Experience with implementation of network solutions which support enterprise and/or retail operations.
  • Experience with emerging network technologies including SDN, SD-WAN, NFV, automation technologies (e.g. Ansible) is a plus.
  • Experience or knowledge of
    *NIX environments, scripting, or programming is a plus.
  • Proven ability and demonstrated passion to learn new network concepts, approaches, and designs.
  • Experience implementing enterprise-wide networking standards and best practices.
  • Ability to successfully facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments and levels and serve as a role model for teamwork.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including experience with messaging or presentation skills for executive audiences using Visio and/or PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with multiple, geographically distributed work groups comprised of disparate skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, demanding, and fluid environment; remains calm under pressure, demonstrates excellent conflict management skills.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to work up and down the organization; able to influence others to achieve results.


Minimum Experience and Education:

  • Experience with network technology implementation of Infrastructure supporting retail and/or enterprise business operations. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math or equivalent related experience or certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP)
