Purpose/ Job Summary
We currently have an exciting opportunity available for an RPA Developer to join our European Central Finance Operations (ECFO) team at our European Head Office of TJX Europe. The RPA Developer role involves the delivery of complex automations for Finance or other Business Functions who are in their journey of setting up their RPA federated system. The RPA Developer will be involved with a high level business partnering with both business functions and IT as well as keeping abreast with new technologies and drive the piloting of those as part of the continuous modernisation across TJX.  


Key Responsibilities/ Tasks

  • Responsible for developing local automation solutions and making changes where required to respond to system/process changes
  • Take part in the effort assessment of the new candidates for automation 
  • Creating  and maintaining the Solution Design Document (SDD) throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure that associated automation configuration methodologies and standards are followed
  • Executes test plan for completed user stories / features
  • Working within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the delivery/project manager accordingly and providing inputs to the change control process
  • Supporting during the UAT and rollout phases  
  • Following good security coding practices to ensure the application is free of most common coding vulnerabilities
  • Informing the Lead Developer and project manager of any issues that may affect any other areas of the project
  • Fixing any defects and performance problems discovered in testing  
  • Provide immediate post-project support for the configured robots
  • Ensure all required documentation is up to date and at the appropriate standard 
  • Comfortable working within an agile framework by business partnering with the business SME to ensure MVP delivered and manages scope creep 
  • Produces the System Demo for program and value stream stakeholders in collaboration with PM/PO
  • Consults on the estimates, design preparation and operational support escalations 


Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in technology or information systems or equivalent work experience
  • Experience of the technical design, development and implementation or support of IT business systems
  • Strong experience Developing and Designing RPA ( Robotic Process Automation) solutions or equivalent development experience either in Java or .Net technologies
  • Knowledge of basic coding and programming
  • Hands on experience and knowledge with any RPA/ IA tools – Ideally Blue Prism or Automation Anywhere, UI Path any additional process automation tools is a plus
  • Experience in the full software delivery lifecycle on RPA projects including process mapping, business requirement gathering, functional and technical specification, coding, test plan and go-live release notes
  • Experience monitoring BOTS in production and resolve issues within the automated processes and provide technical solutions as required
  • Thorough understanding of source code management tools and concepts
  • Familiar with Jira, Agile and DevOps concepts and tools
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels of the business
  • Ability to influence senior management
  • Developed analytical skills and problem solving skills
