As part of the TJX Ecommerce UX team, the UI designer is responsible for producing high quality user interfaces and experiences across TJX Europe’s digital platforms. Working closely with the UX Manager, they will partner with the Product Development, Creative and Business teams to ensure all designs align with customer needs, as well as omnichannel and brand guidelines.


  • Responsible for producing interface layout, visual and interaction designs for TJXE’s digital platforms
  • Design and develop options and prototypes for user testing
  • Design and develop visual design patterns, visual systems, and other standards to contribute to the business
  • Partner with the UX Manager to define the Accessibility principles for TJXE’s digital platforms
  • Partner closely with the Brand team to ensure quality & consistency of UI throughout the omni-channel journey
  • Partner with the UX Manager and Product team in the prioritisation of UI amendments
  • Responsible for the maintenance of design documentation including the UI Component Library
  • Play a key role in the implementation of best UX/UI practices and processes across the UX team
  • Support business partners in achieving best practice customer experience.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships across key business areas including Digital Product Development, Creative, Marketing and Ecommerce
  • Keep abreast of competitor behaviour and market trends.  Review competitor websites, social channels and industry news.
  • Drive personal development and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in team and function
  • Build off-price awareness in self and others by seeking out opportunities to learn from peers and partners in other functions




  • Experience in UI Design.
  • Graduate design degree in visual communications or digital design.
  • Experience in retail industry preferable.
  • Understanding of interaction design principles.
  • Experience of Agile web development processes
  • Knowledge of industry tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Zeplin or similar.



  • Excellent influencing, relationship building and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively; work well with a team and have a pro-active, ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Excellent planning and re-prioritising across tasks and team output as required
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, with a passion for the work, building relationships and our organisation
  • Prioritising own workload and self-efficient, results oriented
  • Creative and analytical approach.

  • Fluency in German or Dutch would be a bonus
