The UX Manager will establish and manage TJX Europe’s Ecommerce UX team. They are responsible for all UX/UI design on our digital platforms and partners closely with the Product Development, Creative and Business teams to ensure all designs align with customer needs, as well as omnichannel and brand guidelines. They will define and implement best practice UX design and research principles.


  • Responsible for the planning and delivery of UX projects across TJXE’s digital platforms
  • Define and implement best UX practices and processes across the UX team
  • Partner closely with the Brand team to ensure quality & consistency of UX and UI throughout the omni-channel journey
  • Share best-practice digital experience knowledge and tools with business partners.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships across key business areas including Digital Product Development, Creative, Marketing and Ecommerce
  • Plan and lead internal workshops and support team members with planning theirs
  • Establish UX research processes and ways of working within the overall development framework.
  • Conduct user research and synthesize feedback; 
  • Scoping, planning and executing of design research.
  • Collaborating with Insight team to identify and source suitable research participants.
  • Synthesizing and communicating research findings.
  • Produce and test UX design proposals and prototypes:
  • Extracting insight from research findings to inform UX design proposals.
  • Developing personas, user scenarios and user journeys.
  • Producing wireframes to support feature development.
  • Producing and testing prototypes across devices.
  • Producing coherent, well-defined information structures.
  • Keep abreast of competitor behaviour and market trends.  Review competitor websites, social channels and industry news.
  • Manage and develop the UX and UI Designers.  Motivate the team, drive personal development and continuous improvement
  • Build off-price awareness in self and others by seeking out opportunities to learn from peers and partners in other functions
  • Responsible for developing the onsite accessibility strategy, partnering closely with the Site Optimisation team to define and deliver changes to support the strategy.


  • 4-6 Yrs Experience in UX design and research
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Experience in retail industry preferable
  • Understanding of interaction design principles
  • Knowledge of industry tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Zeplin and similar
  • Broad knowledge of user research methodologies and practices
  • Experience of Agile web development processes
  • Understanding of business metrics and the ability to translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences
