We all can learn from each other. Inclusion-related learning varies among the countries where we operate and is tailored to address environments our Associates most often encounter. For instance, in the U.S., store management may use a tool called “Culture Pulse” to gauge how store teams are performing in the areas of customer engagement and in their connections with each other.
Associate Resource Groups (ARGs)
We believe in the power of diversity to advance—individually and collectively. In the U.S. and Canada, active Associate Resource Groups are organized for networking, development, and to support at our corporate headquarters and in our Loss Prevention department. Planning and Allocation School of Excellence
We develop the buyers of tomorrow through a structured career path and growth potential in Merchandise Planning and Allocation, Merchandise Buying, and possibly management—and maybe opportunities to travel or work internationally.
Career paths with a chance to grow.
We offer the opportunity to learn new skills and develop throughout TJX stores, distribution centers, and home offices. A vital part of this training is open communication and relationship-building among our Associates.
Building a long-term career for ambitious individuals.
It’s important that we attract talented individuals and train them on the fundamentals of our off-price model, and then support their career growth. We believe our approach is working. More than 40% of Associates in managerial positions—Assistant Store Manager (or equivalent) and above—have been with TJX for 10 or more years.
