What you’ll do

The Digital Solution Delivery organization at TJX focuses on the customer-driven experiences across the globe, including all of our eCommerce domains, mobile apps, loyalty programs, in-store digital experiences, and more. We are builders and innovators extending TJX's world-class treasure hunt experience to new audiences and fans.


As a Full Stack Staff Engineer - Digital eCommerce, you will be a hands-on developer, engineer, subject matter expert, and lead on critical and exciting initiatives within our eCommerce team. In this role you have an opportunity to make a huge impact on the design, architecture and implementation of web store used by people we know. Your core responsibilities will be end-to-end delivery of features. You will engage with cross-disciplinary staff and business partners to develop and build solutions.


What you’ll need

We are looking for a smart, passionate, hard-working, and driven Full Stack Java Developer who demonstrates an "engineering mindset." You will drive the development on eCommerce platforms that supports a best-in-class customer experience using agile methodologies, software development best practices and groundbreaking tools/ technologies.


You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within a collaborative environment. This includes preparing documentation, ensuring designs meet requirements, and delivering outstanding quality work on tight schedules.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 - 8 years’ experience in application development for web apps; systems design and architecture; deployments.
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality solutions on tight schedules.
  • Good hands-on experience with Java, JEE, Spring, APIs, Design Patterns, SQL; Some experience with the latest HTML, JavaScript, CSS standards.
  • Solid coding practices like good design documentation, unit testing, peer code reviews; provide guidance and support to team members during software development, release planning and deployment
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new, complex development environments; passionate about building and improving web store features in a fast paced, collaborative environment
  • Strong customer focus, ownership, urgency and drive with excellent judgment, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Agile planning/execution skills including estimating, scheduling and executing on committed schedules
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work well in a team, project management and technical leadership experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle ATG Commerce or similar platform is a plus
  • Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, Cloud, Micro Services, UI/UX, Bitbucket; Jira, Confluence; Jenkins;
  • Experience mentoring junior team members
