What you’ll do
Within Security Operation, our Security Engineering team is responsible for our security tools suite. A security engineer on this Data Security team will focus on maintaining, improving and optimizing our tools. You will act as a subject matter expert to identify/recommend/implement process & technology improvements. 

As a Data Security Engineer you demonstrate deep knowledge & experience in designing and implementing business functionality in your assigned Platform(s)/Product(s) area. You will own the technology aspect for your assigned area, leading the technical direction, partnering with architecture and security consultants, and presenting team progress alongside the Scrum Master and Product Manager. Engineers at this level can lead & deliver on assigned Epics in their area of support.

You will act as the Primary Varonis expert to implement, manage & improve the use of Varonis DatAdvantage toolset to discover &/or prevent policy violations related to confidential data at rest and in use. You will also look to present technical information about Varonis, conduct product demonstrations and articulate the importance of Data Governance to end users of all levels, while partnering with Risk, Compliance, Audit and other business stakeholders.

What you’ll need
We seek creative, security-minded professionals to provide hands-on talent and social expertise to protect TJX and its assets. You'll work with engineers, business programs, and other security professionals to adapt and improve our security posture in applications, infrastructure, and cloud modernization efforts through well-designed and broadly-applied Data Security Controls.

Key Primary Skills

• Strong experience with large scale data architecture, design, testing, development, migration & integration within a large organization, over 10,000 users
• Strong knowledge of Varonis and proven track record of implementing & supporting Varonis tools
• Ability to be hands on & configure rule sets and objects in an enterprise environment is required
• Operational experience with DLP & Encryption technologies, including hardware refresh, software testing, software upgrades, and complex troubleshooting techniques
• Current experience in security threats, solutions, security tools and network technologies along with a keen ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.

Secondary/Preferred (potential to upskill here)

• Preferred experience implementing & supporting Varonis DatAdvantage, DatPrivilege & DatAlert
• Preferred experience enabling Automation Engine & Data Transport Engine
• Extensive knowledge of Windows, Unix File systems & Storage devices – Isilons, Netapps, Windows File servers, etc.
